The Pool Fam (“we,” “us”) operates https://thepoolfam.com. This policy describes what information we collect through the site and how we use it. The short version: we collect what we need to respond to your quote request and run the business, we don't sell it, and we don't collect more than we need.

When you submit our quote form, opt in to text messages, or contact us, we collect the following personal information and contact details directly from you:

- Phone number (including mobile numbers you opt in with)
- Email address (optional)
- Service address and city
- Pool details and anything you write in your message
- Your consent selections and their timestamps (for example, whether you checked the SMS opt-in boxes)

Cookies and tracking
We use Vercel Analytics and Google Analytics 4 to understand site usage (pages visited, approximate location, device type), and the Meta (Facebook) Pixel to measure the effectiveness of our advertising on Meta platforms. These tools may use cookies or similar technologies. We do not use this data to identify you personally, and you can decline these cookies via our consent banner when you first visit, or through your browser settings at any time.
How we use your information

How we share it
We don't sell or rent your personal information. We share it only with service providers who help us operate: our email provider (Resend), our field-service platform (Skimmer), analytics providers, and our website host (Vercel). Each receives only what it needs to do its job.
Text messaging (SMS): No mobile information will be shared with third parties or affiliates for marketing or promotional purposes. Text messaging originator opt-in data and consent are not shared with any third parties, except with our SMS delivery and messaging providers solely to deliver the messages you agreed to receive.
SMS opt-in details — our text message program
THE POOL FAM LLC dba The Pool Fam operates a text/SMS message program with two message types, each requiring its own separate opt-in:
- Service messages — quote follow-ups, scheduling, and service updates related to your request.
- Marketing messages — occasional offers and promotions. This is optional and never a condition of purchase.
How users opt in: consent is collected only through the unchecked consent checkboxes on our website forms — providing your phone number alone does not opt you in. We record what you consented to and when.
Message frequency: message frequency varies depending on your service activity. Message and data rates may apply according to your mobile plan.
Opting out: reply STOP to any message to cancel at any time, reply HELP for help, or contact us at info@thepoolfam.com or (386) 273-7617.
No sharing of SMS opt-in data: No mobile information will be shared with third parties/affiliates for marketing/promotional purposes. Information sharing to subcontractors in support services, such as customer service, is permitted. All other use case categories exclude text messaging originator opt-in data and consent; this information will not be shared with any third parties.
Data security practices
We protect your personal information with reasonable security measures, both administrative and technical: the site is served exclusively over HTTPS (encryption in transit), your details are stored in access-controlled systems limited to the people who need them to serve you, and we do not store payment card numbers on this website. No method of transmission or storage is 100% secure, but we limit what we collect so there is less to protect.
Data retention
We keep quote and customer records as long as needed to serve you and meet legal requirements. You can ask us to delete your information at any time (see below); we'll honor the request except where we must retain records by law.
Your rights — unsubscribe, access, update, or delete your data
You have the right to unsubscribe from our communications and to access, update, correct, or delete the personal information we hold about you, at any time:
- Access, correction, deletion: request a copy of the personal information we hold about you, ask us to correct it, or ask us to delete it by emailing info@thepoolfam.com.
- Unsubscribe from texts: reply STOP to any text message to stop receiving them.
- Unsubscribe from emails: use the unsubscribe link in any marketing email, or email us.
- Cookies: decline analytics and advertising cookies via our consent banner, your browser settings, or standard opt-out tools.
Children
Our site and services are directed at adults. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13.
